Specialized Academic Instruction

ABC School provides instructional services based on the student’s Individual Education Program (IEP). The IEP team determines how Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) will be implemented based on the child’s individual needs. SAI is defined as “adapting, as appropriate to the needs of the child with a disability the content, methodology, or delivery of instruction to ensure access of the child to the general curriculum, so that he or she can meet the educational standards within the jurisdiction of the public agency that apply to all children.” (Code of Federal Regulations, Title 34, Section 300.39(b)(3)).

ABC specializes in applying the principles of Behavior Analysis to the learning environment with the goal of having students generalize their skills and maximize their potential so that each student can access their learning environment.
