Ms. Rioux-Tamayo earned her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. She completed her Bachelors Degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1997, where she worked with Dr. Ivar Lovaas. In her five years with the Lovaas Institute, she served as a Therapist, Senior Therapist, and a Behavior Consultant at the Lovaas Institute for Early Intervention. As a Behavior Consultant, she supervised cases in the Los Angeles area, and also traveled to Nevada and Texas to supervise discrete trial training programs and to train parents, caregivers, and therapists to implement discrete trial training programs.
In 2001, she joined ABC, Inc. and assisted in opening a site in Valencia, California. In 2015, she opened a site in Lancaster, California. Ms. Rioux-Tamayo has served as the Director of Community Services and Infant/Toddler Programs at ABC, Inc. for over 10 years and oversees both the Valencia and Lancaster locations. In addition to conducting assessments, consultations, and staff training, she has conducted workshops in Applied Behavior Analysis for Consultants and School District personnel, specializing in early, intensive intervention techniques. She has been a member of the California Consortium for Behavior Analysis (CCBA) since its inception, and has served on the Public Policy Committee and is now serving on the Ethics Committee. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
